Biography
Vincent had a normal childhood growing up near Azalea Town, farming Mareep for their wool. His dad disappeared when he was 3. He doesn't really remember his father. Whenever he asked his mom, she'd tell him that he went to get groceries (if she was sober) or that he ran off with that floozy Sabrina (if she was drunk). He does know that his dad's a trainer, which is part of the reason he wants to be one. He hopes maybe he can meet him one day, catch up, maybe go out to lunch, maybe beat the snot out of him. Whatever.
Of course, the main reason that Vincent wanted to be a trainer is because he likes Pokemon. He grew up around Pokemon, and thinks that people can learn a lot from them. The way he sees it, people need to share the world with them anyway, so everyone will be happier if we can get along with them better. He watched battles all the time on television, but he's also watched documentaries on them. He's stoked to be able to have battles, but he also wants to contribute to the Pokedex, and help people learn more about Pokemon.
On his 17th birthday, he received a Pokeball containing a Torchic.
