Vating was just finishing greeting a young boy with a Joltik on his head and turned to the next person, he always tried to make a different greeting for each and every person who entered. He started with, "Welcome to the Festival Express, it may not be a train, but it's certainly a lot better." He then glanced over to Yorlam to see her waving some kid's pokeball at Vating. He then glanced at it and quickly understood, "Wait, you're a trainer. Right? Sorry, you seem to have forgetting to get checked off by Yorlam over there." He points to the Blastoise behind him almost sarcastically after having seen the Shinx and Purrloin.
