The life of Pyrra Boudicca begins a little over two decades ago when she was born in Lilycove City. Both of her parents were average in everything that they did. There was nothing extraordinary about them. And it was for that reason, that growing up Pyrra wanted to be everything but normal. She would do whatever she could to in order to make herself stand above others. Be it in studying, athletics, and most club activities. Yet, while growing up, there was only one person that she could not surpass, and that was her best friend and neighbor. No matter how hard Pyrra worked she was never able to overcome her friend.

When they both turned thirteen they embarked on their own separate pokemon adventures, promising to face each other once they made it to Ever Grande City. Pyrra started her journey with her Nidoran, Dany. She proceeded along the Gym Challenge, pursuing the goal of becoming the top trainer of Hoenn. She built up a team of pokemon along the way and got far enough to challenge the Elite Four. Throughout her entire journey, her friend had always been one step ahead of her.

Pyrra challenged the Elite Four after roughly one and a half years of travelling and building her team. She was able to defeat the Elite Four members and made her way to the Champion’s arena where she would finally be able to achieve her dream of becoming the Champion of Hoenn. Once she entered and the room was lit up, she was staring at none other than her friend that was her rival. Her friend had not only accomplished the Gym Challenge faster than she did, but she had even become the Champion. Rather than face her old friend, Pyrra left the challenge through forfeit and decided that she would no longer compete with someone else for her own goals. Rather she would forge her own way, making sure that no one could get in her way again.

And so Pyrra travelled to Kanto, where she would pursue a new goal, one of becoming a powerful person that was respected. She would have no need to use a title like “Champion” to do that for her, she would do it with her own abilities. It did not take long before Pyrra fell into the “wrong” crowd in Kanto. She began working with Team Rocket on small jobs to earn a living while she could find a path, and that is when she realized it. A career within Team Rocket could guarantee her power. If she were to proceed to the top of the organization, she could be respected. Of course she would not let people know she was part of the organization, and so she started finding ways to commit crimes while dodging any legal repercussions. This lead to her name disappearing from Team Rocket’s organization, and instead being replaced by the name, “Athena”.

This is the name that she would go by on all police records, as there just being an Athena taking on larger roles within the organization. Pyrra wanted to differentiate herself from the other Rocket members, and to do so she moved away from wearing uniforms and only pursuing rare pokemon and artifacts. Of course she still dealt in that trade, but she wanted to make herself untouchable, and so she started purchasing businesses to launder money. Eventually, she would find herself on Cinnabar Island, wanting to create a better name for herself as Pyrra Boudicca, not as Athena, a recently promoted Admin.

On Cinnabar Island Pyrra challenged the Gym Leader to a match and much to her surprise, she lost. For the next week she continued to challenge the Gym Leader and finally won on the final day. She rejoiced in her victory that she claimed for herself before returning to maintaining her businesses on the island. Within a few years she learned that the Gym Leader was retiring and looking for a replacement. Upon challenging them again to a match, Pyrra showed how much she improved and that she should inherit the title and position. Not only would it give her prestige and authority on the island, but it would provide a better cover as a patron of the Island.

The retired Gym Leader decided to leave the Gym in Pyrra’s capable hands. Since taking over the Gym Pyrra has helped to bring new opportunities to Cinnabar through jobs. She has also been making way for ensuring that the Island is active year round, and not just during the Summer. All of this serves as a cover for her gambling dens and pokemon smuggling.

With the vacancy of a formal leader of Team Rocket, Pyrra has begun making preparations to take over the position so that she could truly become the most powerful person in the organization.
