A HEART SO TRUE, OUR COURAGE WILL PULL US THROUGH

William was born, and raised in Sinnoh region's Eterna City. His mother, and father were wealthy businessmen who barely had any time for him, being more interested in making money. This combined with being an only child led to William being alone most of his life, and the kids that lived around there were no help. They would instead bully the poor boy, saying that nobody would ever want to be around him, not even his own parents, claiming that his parents think that he's a failure. There wouldn't be a day where William would come home without tears in his eyes. He'd even beg his parents to let him stay home, but due to their lack of paying attention, William's parents insisted that he should still go out.

One day, young William was watching some of his bullies from a distance talk about how they will become pokemon masters, take on all the gyms, the leagues, etc. It brought a small smile to the boy's face as it made him think about the possibilities of becoming a pokemon master himself one day. To showoff, one of the kids took out a pokeball, and summoned a Duskull much to the other kid's amazement, except for Hiro who's are began to race. As he attempted to get up from the tree he was sitting against, the boy tripped over a fallen branch, alerting his bullies. They then came over to taunt William some more, and noticed how the timid boy's attention was completely on the ghost pokemon. It was obvious that he was terrified of it from his facial expression. He had a fear of all things paranormal from things he has read, and watched, believing ghost as well as dark type pokemon to be messengers of evil. The other kids unfortunately took advantage of this fear, and used it as more fuel to pick on the boy.

Noticing that it was about to become night, William attempted to get out of this, claiming that his parents would be worried, but the other kids had other ideas. The bullies abducted William, and dragged him out of the city all the way to a worn out mansion known as Old Chateau. After throwing William into the terrifying place, the bullies were able to seal the door shut, and began to laugh as they heard William helplessly bang against the door. Shortly after, the bullies left him there which William began to realize from the lack of laughter. With nothing else he could do, William sat there with his back against the door crying as he hugged his knees. His crying shortly after attracted some unwanted attention. A small figure peeked from around a corner, catching William's teary eyes. William continued to stare at that area as he shivered from fear. Suddenly, what was peeking at him, darted straight towards the scared little boy. It was a small female Mimikyu that came out, curious to see the boy. William began to scream, and continued to cry harder which frightened the Mimkyu causing her to hide, and shiver in fear. Eventually, William looked over curiously, but before he could do anything else, other ghost types that called this place home appeared, and taunted the small Mimikyu. William was terrified yet again at first, but soon realized what was happening, and how similar it was to the other kids bullying him.

This Mimikyu had actually came to Sinnoh with her trainer, but her trainer would mysteriously disappear, most likely abandoning her. The heart broken Mimikyu found the abandoned mansion, and called it home for the next few months despite the rude pokemon that lived in the area as well. Mustering up the courage, William would defend the Mimikyu, causing the other pokemon to back off. After that day, William's views on "sinister" type pokemon changed, believing that they aren't much different from other pokemon or humans.


Day after day, William would go to that haunted mansion, and would bond with his ghostly friend, even stumbling upon other paranormal activity there that would've used to scare the ever living crap out of him, but now, this stuff seemed really interesting. He even began to bring a sketchbook with him to draw the mysterious things he's seen although not good at first, but his drawings grew better over time. This prompted the bullies to pick on him even more however...

William was now being bullied for his fascination of all things paranormal, calling him a creeper, not human, and saying things like only ghosts will be his friends. This time however, William didn't mind the insults, but rather took them as compliments. He loved being around these sort of things, and nothing was ever going to change his mind about it. After a few good years with Mimikyu and these other ghost types, it was sadly time for him to say goodbye. William now sixteen has learned from his parents that they will have to start moving a lot due to their job. After a tearful goodbye to his new pokemon friends at the mansion, William began to head home, but while he was halfway there, a familiar sight came up on him. It was the Mimikyu who he saved, and ended up nicknaming her, Amikyu as it felt like a fitting name for such a cute pokemon. Believing that to be just one final goodbye, William waved at Amikyu before walking off, only to see that the Mimikyu continued to follow. That's when he realized that Amikyu wanted to come along which made sense since out of all of the ghost type pokemon he bonded with, Amikyu was by far the one he bonded with the most. With a small smile on his face, William gestured for Amikyu to come along knowing that his parents wouldn't mind, or probably won't even notice.

After taking a flight with his parents, and newly acquired Mimikyu, William has found himself in a new region known as the Johto Region which he didn't know much about save for a few books he has read about this region. It took a few days, but the family managed to get their things settled, and got a home in New Bark Town. Unfortunately it seemed that this was going to be a short stay. Apparently the job William's parents worked at needed them in yet another region, but this time, his parents thought it would be best that they went on their own, believing that it would be good for William to stay in one place, and that he was old enough to take care of himself, or perhaps they didn't want him in their way....Either way, William didn't care. He actually seemed glad that he was on his own with his Amikyu.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, William went off to learn more about paranormal things as well as the history of this region. Perhaps even take on the Pokemon League one day.

That is where his story begins...
