So this is Kanto? 'Neat

Ryosuke lurked around the city for a while, everyone seemed friendly, but it seemed the great Professor of Pallet was not available. It was a shame he knew that a Pokedex would be great help for him to be able to learn more about the pokemon here in Kanto. Or perhaps even being a part assistant to get paid. It was gonna be rough, it seemed gym battles and battle bets would be the only way that he could get money for his family. 

Ryosuke continued walking out of the city into the area of route one. He grimaced what made this place so special be called route one? He took a deep breath before he continued to walk. He was no ace trainer of any sorts he had so much to learn so maybe finding a few trainers or pokemon would be a good start. The pink haired teen glanced around and continued walking that was until he saw a few Pokemon that were minding their own business. "Oh..." He whispered under his breath, he saw the two avian based pokemon pecking at the ground two Pidgeys... A two on one fight wasn't wise for Ryosuke to start out. But how strong could a single bird be? 

Ryosuke reached for a ball clicked the inside button and watched it expand. Swinging his leg high in the sky similar to a baseball pitcher he tossed the ball square at the pidgey. "Direct hit!" He called out as he saw the second Pidgey fly off. He watched as the pokeball shook around a little bit, before it decided to burst open, it seemed the Pidgey was no where to be caught. The avian glared towards Ryosuke as it was a bit menacing for being that size. "Alright fine, we'll do this the hard way!" he called out reaching for Coal's Poke'ball. 

"Coal come and get him!" He called out as he saw his partner Tepig appear. "Tepig!" The two pokemon were set to engage in battle. The wild Pidgey made its first move and tried using a gust of wind to blow his hefty little pig away. "Gonna have to try harder than that!" Ryosuke turned to see Coal being pushed and cut around with the wind. Ryosuke while he has seen battles before he never really saw them in person. It was exhilarating. "Coal use ember now!" 

Coal made a leap into the air and puffed in his own stomach. As his nose snarled. "Teeeepigggg!!!" The barrage  of orange based pellets of ember shot from the little pig as it managed to miss many of its attacks. The bird saw this as an opening as Coal was in the air and unable to change its own movement. The wild Pidgey took this opportunity to swoop in with a strong tackle. 

Coal fell back on the ground as it seemed to have taken a decent hit from the wild pokemon. "Coal are you alright?" Ryosuke questioned his partner as Coal responded by a simple nod. It was a good thing no one was here to see Ryosuke's first true battle. "Okay!" Ryosuke called out while pointing his hand straight forward. "Now's the time approach the Pidgey with a zig-zag pattern!" The order was said as the Pig ran left to right left to right, the little oinkers wasn't fast enough to confuse the Pidgey but made the Pidgey land at the very least. The bird swooped its wing against the ground using Sand Attack.  "Now use ember through the sand!" He called out it seemed between two attacks Coal had taken a bit of damage and his ability Blaze had came through. The bullets of fire shot through the sand and square into the Pidgey's face. The bird was unable to battle anymore. "Nice job you did it Coal!" Ryosuke cheered as he went to congratulate his pig pokemon.
