As it was dark and into the night, Ryosuke meandered into Virdian City. He had avoided battles to get to this city, due to the fact knowing his two pokemon were very tired. Coal and Nox needed to get some rest at a Pokemon center not just rest in their Pokeball. As he approached the city he was stopped a few times by the cities Police officers. As it was getting late and seeing a tall built teenager at this time of day could be seen as bad. IT was more annoying than anything however, as Ryosuke had a distaste for the city officials like the cops, due to the ones in Unova not helping his mother with the team Rocket situation.
As the large Pokemon Center opened up it seemed there were plenty of other trainers here, although it seemed rooms were scarce to stay in so he would be confined to the Lobby while his Pokemon were treated to full health. He sat there twiddling his thumbs as he pulled his wallet out to see a picture of his family, all of them working at the restaurant luckily the picture was taken by a regular of the dining establishment.
"Don't lose focus.." He whispered to himself knowing full well tomorrow he needed to train hard. He sat on the couch and looked to the left as he could see the Viridian City gym out the window. Gym leaders just like the Police nothing but just a title. Its infuriating to know that help won't come and you have to make it happen on your own. His fist tightened, as he left the center to peer at the Gym. It seemed that the owner was out of town for a while. It would have to be another day. "Damn it.., where is the next gym then?" He asked aloud as he walked back in a huff to the Pokemon center. Ryosuke took a seat back on the couch once more to relax and lay down he clearly had stuff on his mind.

"...but they told me... it was... oh, alright fine..."
Noelle stared off into the distance as yet another person told her that no, she indeed wasn't anywhere near Lavender Town. Biting her thumb as she returned to reality, she looked around for any signs that could help her around, but ultimately ended up even more lost. Pewter City didn't sound like it was anywhere near Lavender Town.
And of course, it hit her, why did she want to head to Lavender Town in the first place? She knew nothing about Kanto, so it's not like she had a specific objective there. If anything, she'd just get terrified by the ghosts. She literally just wanted to keep moving, and that was technically was still in progress. She had traveled through Diglett's Cave, and ended up on the other, safer side of Viridian Forest. She had arrived in Viridian City, at first mistaking it for the town she was initially aiming for.
It didn't matter at this point, she arrived somewhere, so at the very least she succeeded in keeping the wheels moving. But now what?
Noelle stared off into the distance once more, examining the nearby buildings. She had already gone to the Poke Mart, and got laughed out when she asked if she had arrived in Lavender Town. She went to the Pokemon Center, and was greeted to a long, winding lecture about ghosts being everywhere, not just Lavender Town by some senile old man. What else are trainers supposed to do when they arrive to town?
As she continued to space out, her attention was jolted back to reality as the nearby Gym entered her focus.
"Right, right! Gyms!" Noelle perked up, beginning to make her way towards what seemed to be an abandoned Gym. Noelle took a good look around the exterior. The windows were rather cracked, as if to imply low maintenance. Noelle peeked inside a broken window, slightly cutting her cheek with a small shard of glass.
"Oww." Noelle covered her cheek with her hand, clearly not interested in proper first aid techniques. Instead, her attention turned towards getting in the gym. Naive as she was, it took a while for Noelle to realize that for a Pokemon Gym to run, one needs actual... well, y'know, people inside. Discouraged by her lack of progress, she marched back towards the Pokemon Center. Sighing, she approached the counter, hoping not to meet up with the strange old man from before. Thankfully, he was nowhere to be seen this time. She set down her sole Poke Ball on the counter, and watched as the nurse placed it in the machine. Completely distracted by what she was to do next, she hadn't even noticed that the nurse's Chansey had crossed the counter and was cleaning Noelle's injury.
"Oww!!" Noelle yelped as the sharp feeling of the healing spray made contact with her wounds. The Chansey didn't even flinch and simply placed a big bandage on the girl's cut.
"Right... um... thanks?" Noelle smiled nervously, unsure if she had to tip the Chansey or something. The Chansey simply returned back to the nurse's side, who promptly returned Noelle back her Pokemon.
"Your Pokemon is fighting fit." The nurse chirped happily as a nearby printer noisily printed out a sheet of paper, which she then handed to Noelle.
"Um... what's this?" Noelle stared at the paper, a medical bill. "I thought... Pokemon Centers were... well, free."
"Oh no no, only medical treatment for Pokemon is free." The nurse said, still as cheery as before. "Medical treatment for humans is no longer free. But don't worry. You have a set amount of time to pay it back. You don't have to pay it all at once now."
"But... I... don't think I can pay this..." Noelle said monotonously, still shocked by the bill.
"Don't worry." The nurse chirped, even happier. "We'll find you."
Noelle sighed as she turned. She crumpled up the bill and shoved it in her bag. Oh well. She'd deal with that later. What's the worst that could happen, anyway?
Dejectedly, she dragged her feet slowly towards the furthest sofa.

It was at that moment that Ryosuke had heard Nurse Joy call for his Pokemon to be returned he approached the counter and thanked the woman with a nod. As he turned to return to the couch he watched as a girl was being treated by a chansey and was told Human care costs money. Bummer for her, as the fact that she has to pay for that but we all get sick, and can't be as lucky as the Pokemon in the world sometimes.
Ryosuke watched as the fellow pink haired person walked to the opposite sofa and relaxed for a moment. This would be just more awkward if he didn't speak, or would it be normal if he didn't speak? Honestly speaking Ryosuke isn't much of a people person, the most he would talk to people was taking their order before running to the kitchen to cook it as his younger siblings would take over. They always were more brave than he was, and more sociable.
"Oh Hey, is everything okay?" He said awkwardly as he raised a hand to grab the girls attention. It wasn't like a large scratch on her cheek or anything but enough for a Chansey to want to take care of it. The girls face of distraught was probably from the bill itself and that was something he could definitely understand.
