Evolution

In the same way that members are allowed to freely determine when and how they catch or otherwise obtain Pokemon, members are also free to determine when their Pokemon evolve. However, we ask that you please be reasonable with evolution and keep levels in mind. A Pokemon with a low level evolution such as Caterpie might be able to evolve into Metapod after a single thread and a little adventure, but taking your Charmander all to way to a Charizard would reasonably be a lengthy process involving several major battles or events over multiple threads.
All Pokemon which have specific requirements for evolution aside from level will still have those requirements, but naturally they will be applied in a statless setting. An Eevee would still need a fire stone to become a Flareon for example, but it's up to the member how and when their character receives one. Happiness levels are also obviously up to members, and trading to evolve can be done with NPC characters.
The only thing we ask is that you please post below if you're going to be evolving your Pokemon. While this allows us to make sure members aren't abusing the free form evolve system, it also makes sure that staff are always up to date on a member's team, and that we don't get confused and start thinking a member is catching fully evolved Typhlosions because they suddenly have a new Pokemon.
Note: Victory Road does not use Mega Evolutions at the moment, but this is subject to change depending on what members want.
