Personality: Generally timid and rather soft spoken, Nova doesn't seem to be much at first site due to her soft-spoken and gentle nature. Very compassionate, she treats both human and Pokemon with unless they abuse her trust which makes her less gentle and more withdrawn towards the said person. Due to her compassionate site she is rather maternal, constantly showing concern or sympathy towards the said being. Likewise a strange quality of Nova is the fact she doesn't hate anyone, no matter how much the wronged her, she will forgive them although she will act like she would be if they had taken her trust and abused it. Nova doesn't most likely won't involve herself in any conflict that is given and would most likely avoid it as much as she possibly can and most likely would ignore it as she doesn't want to choose sides.

Very polite, Nova always greets everyone using "Ms/Mr." unless they said so before. She is very courteous as she doesn't wish to hurt the other side's feelings and typically speaks towards everyone in a quiet, yet friendly tone. She laughs at anyone's jokes no matter how funny, takes both sides if she is asked to resolve a conflict and even agrees to do anything that may scare her all simply because she doesn't want to offend both parties. However, she does have her limits as she isn't willing to do something that is against common sense or breaking the law. She also is a good sport, congratulation anyone when she loses or encouraging the other party when they lose. Nova is also rather stubborn as she stands by her personal code to take both sides and never take one. Once she she thinks something, it is extremely difficult for her to change her perspective on the matter.

She can also be rather clever, using creative ways to win battles or using her knowledge of type advantages against the other trainer. Nova isn't so gullible as she is intelligent enough to know whether a person is faking or lying, unless the lie is executed rather well. Yet she is rather lazy, preferring to stay in a dark room all day and play video games rather than go outside and socialize or exercise. A common gag of hers is that when one ask her to grab something that is within arms reach she would commonly reply with "It's too far." However she will overcome her lazy attitude if forced to although this generally makes her rather irritable.

A quality of Nova that is well known is her willingness to sacrifice herself for the good of the world. Not being afraid of life or death, she doesn't really care for what happens to her if it means that her sacrifice means those whom she loves are safe and happy. She is also selfless as she gives to those whom she sympathize and will refuse any offer of gifts that are given to her. However her skeptical nature also ties in with this as she is naturally skeptical of people's goals if she deems them questionable. While selfless, she also isn't stupid as her kindness will not extend that far to people whom she finds suspicious.

No matter how stressful any situation is, Nova is able to remain calm and keep a straight face. She doesn't panic nor does she let her sense of fear get the better of her. She acts somewhat emotionless when she is calm as she keeps her face completely neutral and her voice is spoken in a monotonous tone. Constantly Nova is bored, and she commonly looks around for anything to keep her entertained. She feels a constant need to seek entertainment even when she is working on anything that is very important. Due to this she is distracted rather easily and enjoys to procrastinate even if a deadline is the next day.

History: Nova never knew her parents. According to her grandmother, both of her parents were good people. Her mother was a kind and gentle soul who loved Pokemon with her entire heart. She had treated her daughter with the same gentleness when she had delivered her into the world as well. Her father was brave yet compassionate. He loved his wife and daughter and would die for them if he needed to. What seemed to be a bright future for this potential family simply ended in sorrow as the two had passed away in an unknown accident, leaving her with the only alive relative she had, her paternal grandmother.

She was born in Celestic Town, where she was raised her entire life. Growing up, she learned about the history of the world, specifically the creation myth as the town was a place full of history. These stories would constantly intrigue her as she loved the stories of myths. Commonly she would spend her days reading stories of the old and commonly wondered if the legends were true or false, however she would soon learn was in fact true.

From a young age, Nova had experienced a peculiarity. From her moment of birth she could see a faint light around people and Pokemon alike. When she brought it up to her grandmother, she simply dismissed her granddaughter's claims as her wild imagination. Yet as the young girl grew older, her strange ability seemed to grow stronger as the light grew brighter which frightened the young child. Her grandmother soon learned that what Nova saw wasn't her imagination and after researching her family tree, she learned the truth. They were the descendant of an aura guardian from long ago. Although she wasn't certain, her grandmother believed that the powers were possibly hereditary and passed onto her granddaughter, possibly making her a potential modern day aura guardian. Her grandmother decided to keep this a secret as she didn’t want the girl to go away.
However, Nova learned to control this strange ability of hers and lived a fairly normal life despite this. When she was ten she left on her journey to become a Pokémon trainer. The first Pokémon she had ever caught was a Cleffa that she named Tiny due to her small size. Tiny and Nova had just began to travel across the Sinnoh region before they received news that her grandmother was ill. Rushing back to her grandmother’s side, Nova made it just in time however the old lady was too far gone to be saved. Upon her deathbed, her grandmother told her that she had one more living relative, an uncle who moved to Kanto many years ago and had cut off all contact with his family.
After her grandmother’s death, Nova and Tiny went to Kanto in search of her long lost uncle. After spending a few months searching, their efforts finally bore fruit. They learned that her uncle had changed his name and become a member of the Elite Four. When the two had finally met him, her uncle immediately rejected her presence as he wanted to cut ties of his past. Determined to gain his attention, the young girl challenge the elite four members to a battle. In a fit of rage, he accepted the challenge despite the fact Nova did not have any gym badges.
She was quickly defeated however she did not give up yet. Each day she trained and every week she had challenged her uncle to a battle which strangely enough he accepted. After each loss, the two grew stronger. Tiny had evolved into a beautiful Clefairy in the process. After about a year of training, Tiny was able to defeat one of his Pokemon. However she had long ago won his attention and began to accept the fact this girl was his niece. Although Tiny was defeated by the very next Pokemon, her uncle decided to train the young girl himself in which she accepted.
With her uncle’s help Nova’s true skill began to blossom. She became a powerful trainer as well as gaining many different Pokemon to accompany Tiny in her team. Under her uncle’s care, she learned the truth behind the strange power she possessed and learned that he had the same ability as well, as he had spent years training to become an aura guardian only to give up as he felt as the path wasn’t for him. During the process he had cut contact with his family as he believed that he needed to get rid of his last connection of the ones he loved as he thought it would make hims stronger and once he quit he was too ashamed by his actions to reach out to his family. When he had asked her if she would like to follow that path she declined as she commented that she preferred to battle. Yet despite this her ability grew slightly stronger as she was able to sense the auras of people and Pokemon even if she couldn’t see them.

After six years of training, Nova herself became a formidable trainer that had possibly even surpassed her uncle’s strength. Tiny had evolved into her final stage and along with her teammates, they became incredibly powerful. Deciding to retire, her uncle decided to choose Nova as his successor and decided to move back to Sinnoh to pay respects to his deceased mother, brother and sister in law. Before he had left, he had gifted her with an egg, simply telling her to treasure that Pokemon with her life. When it hatched, a tiny Riolu popped out, the offspring of her uncles own Lucario. Treasuring this Pokemon, she rose up to become the member of the Elite Four at the young age of seventeen.
