  Lulu was born and raised in Pewter City of the Kanto Region. Her father was a scientist at the museum, and her mother was a retired Rhyhorn racer from the Kalos region. Her family never struggled for money, and thus wealth is what she grew up with. Her childhood was far from rough, as she was given everything that she could ask for. Her household life was great, and everything always went her way.

Lulu was sent to a private academy for future pokemon trainers, where she proceeded to drop out as soon as they learned she was never going to do her homework. Her family tried sending her to various schools throughout her life, but none of them really stuck with her. Homework was never done, socializing was avoided at all cost, and it wasn't until she was fourteen that she made her first real friend. The two became inseparable, with the most awkward love-hate relationship many have seen. Lulu's life was going great, until crime struck. Her friend joined a local pokemon gang, causing trouble everywhere she went. At first she didn't mind, and even thought it was cool. As time went on though, the two started to separate. They didn't hang out as much everyday, and arguments started to form. Lulu didn't mind that her friend had new friends, but being blown off angered her. The two regularly began having cat fights, usually ending up with hair and blood gone. The more they separated, the angrier Lulu got at the gang for taking her friend away, causing her unleash the anger on her. Eventually they attacked her father's museum and her mother's prized Rhyhorn, causing her to snap. A confrontation between the two of them led into an all out fight, and Lulu took her own path. Lulu left the Kanto region at the age of fifteen, traveling the world to see what she can.

Her first stop was the Glittering Cave in Southern Kalos. Having business contacts there through her father, she spent a year working on fossils and reviving Pokemon from them. Aero was her first pokemon, and the one she adores the most. Tantrum, Aurora, and Slash all came throughout the year. She took to seeing the rest of the world over the next few years, making stops in Pacifidlog town where she befriend a Corsola, and a Rhyhorn in Stark mountain.

At the age of eighteen, she heard that crime has died down in her city, and made her way back. Taking a scenic route, she went through Rock Tunnel, where she met an Onix that tested against all of her might. She made her way home to Pewter City, helping her father around the lab. When the Gym Leader of Pewter was looking to step down, Lulu took up the challenge of Gym Leader. Her goal is to keep Pewter City crime free, and one day become the lead pokemon researcher in Fossil Pokemon.
